Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, or suppression life safety product lines.

You will document deficiencies, maintain schedules, and assist with installations, including wet/dry/deluge systems, while handling equipment up to 70 lbs. Applicants should have 3+ years of sprinkler experience, the ability to obtain licenses, and proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools and multimeters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance of sprinkler systems and related product lines.
• Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through devices.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Assist foreman in installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Work in positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
