Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) invites undergraduates to join the Spring Undergraduate Internship Program, January 4, 2027 to May 28, 2027. Selected interns will engage in practical research and provide technical support across computational science, cyber defense, CS, numerical methods, math, and related STEM fields.

Depending on assignment, the internship may offer a hybrid schedule with in‑person and virtual work, and occasional work‑from‑home days.

Qualifications

• Must be a continuing college student pursuing an undergrad degree in relevant STEM fields.
• GPA 3.0 or higher required.
• Eligibility for NDAA access and Laboratory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and/or research support to projects in computational science and related STEM areas.
• Participate in research under close supervision.
• Gather and analyze data in support of scientific research.
• Attend seminars (at least weekly) and participate in planning discussions.
• Present work through talks or poster sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
