Job summary

The Texas A&M International University invites qualified applicants to join a pool for future, part‑time Fall Adjunct Faculty appointments in Sociology. Successful candidates may teach up to six semester credit hours, hold office hours, and assist students, with on‑campus attendance required.

This pool supports Spring 2027 terms and is temporary per semester. Minimum credentials include a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Communication; preferred candidates may hold a doctorate

Job Description

The Department of Social Sciences seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part‑time Fall Adjunct Faculty appointments in Sociology. Successful applicants may teach up to six (6) semester credit hours within the required discipline as dictated by student demand, hold office hours, and assist students as needed. This position requires face‑to‑face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus.

Education and Experience

• Master’s degree in the discipline, or a closely related area with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• An earned doctorate in the discipline (or closely related field) with a minimum of 18 graduate hours.
• Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Prior relevant industry experience.

• These temporary appointments are for the Spring 2027 semester and/or any applicable Spring 2027 Sub‑terms.
