Job summary

Turner Construction Company in the Sports market seeks an experienced leader to manage on-site security operations and develop procedures that safeguard people and assets across projects. You will lead preconstruction teams, build client relationships, negotiate contracts, and partner with operations to align schedules, safety, and budgets while promoting continuous improvement.

The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and minimum of 18 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles.
• Ability to develop client relationships, identify sales opportunities and collaborate on solutions to secure and win work.
• Extensive knowledge of regional market.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Extensive management experience across regions, coaching and mentoring others.
• Extensive negotiation skills with ability to influence and engage others.
• Executive level presentation skills, anticipates needs of audience, and tailors communications.
• Pursues everything with energy and drive to completion.
• Champion of continuous improvement/lean efforts and open to ideas from others.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM and lean technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage preconstruction phases of multiple projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, design community, trade partners, and organizations.
• Supervise one or more Project Preconstruction Managers.
• Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisions and contribute to Profit Plan development.
• Collaborate with BD on sales pursuits, including engagement in RFP reviews and resource planning.
• Manage and coach Preconstruction teams; participate in hiring and performance feedback.
• Co-lead Project Launch with Project Executive and General Manager.
• Review and approve Preconstruction budget and General Assumptions; ensure alignment with CM Agreement and RFP.
• Participate in Constructability Reviews and IPD/Value Design improvements.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and market engagement strategies.
