Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a Sports Official (Flag/Soccer/Basketball) to oversee youth games and uphold YMCA standards. You will build relationships with participants, parents, coaches and officials while maintaining a safe playing environment.

This role involves conducting coaches’ meetings, ensuring compliance with YGBW policies, and performing related duties. Flexible hours and a chance to positively influence youth, families, and communities await.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years officiating sports.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to relate to participants of all ages and ability levels.
• Must obtain and maintain required certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Officiate youth games (flag soccer and basketball) per YMCA policies.
• Build relationships with participants, parents, coaches and officials.
• Maintain a safe sports environment at all times.
• Conduct coaches’ meetings before games and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
