Job summary

CAA ICON’s Summer 2027 internship in Oklahoma City offers hands-on experience in construction project management within a leading owner’s representative firm. Interns will assist in office coordination, document control, scheduling, and communications under the guidance of a project manager.

You’ll gain exposure to feasibility, planning, and project delivery for major sports/entertainment venues. In-person, full-time role May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Expected graduation Spring/Summer 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Support daily needs: deliveries, scanning, document development, and tracking logs.
• Maintain a master project calendar and manage meetings and invites.
• Assist with file maintenance and meeting minutes.
• Attend meetings and document decisions and action items.
• Assist with event planning and data gathering for schedules.
• Support budgeting, contracting costs, and cost expenditures tracking.
• Assist with contract administration, project correspondence, and document control.
• Assist with RFIs, scheduling, and coordinating subcontractors and vendors.
• Navigate and markup architectural drawings; participate in site tours.
• Capture site photographs and track project progress.
• Prepare purchase orders and change orders for submission.
• Communicate updates clearly in client-facing environments.
• Gain exposure to construction methodologies, stadium technology, LEED, and design.
• Capstone project/end-of-internship presentation.
