Job summary

CAA ICON in Washington DC is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern for Owner’s Representative and Construction Project Management. You will support the project team with office coordination, document control, meetings, site tours, and data gathering to help establish project schedules and budgets.

The role offers hands-on exposure to construction methodologies, stadium technology, LEED practices, sponsorship negotiations, and operations for sports and entertainment facilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related degree is required, with an expected graduation date in Spring/Summer 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
• Strong technical skills; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily needs: deliveries, scanning, document development, tracking logs.
• Maintain a master project calendar and manage schedules, invites, calls.
• Assist with file maintenance and meeting minutes.
• Assist with event planning and special projects.
• Obtain project data to establish schedules; assist with budgets and cost monitoring.
• Assist with contract administration and document control.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and coordinating subcontractors.
• Review and markup drawings; participate in site tours and photo captures.
• Assist with purchase orders and change orders for timely submission.
• Engage in client-facing updates in meetings.
• Join informational visits to team facilities; exposure to construction methodologies, LEED, design, sponsorships, operations.
• Capstone project/end of internship presentation.
