Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Ohio is seeking a Store Leader to coach and develop a high-performing team, deliver outstanding athlete experiences, and drive store performance through expert product knowledge and effective leadership.

You will oversee daily operations, support merchandising standards, and lead staffing and scheduling for the department while upholding our customer-first standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment.
• Promote and lead company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Assist in developing 30-60-90 day plans with the SM and ASM to support business priorities.
• Help establish working plans for staffing, budgeting, and operational initiatives.
• Lead in building schedules and supervise teammates to meet demand and payroll goals.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and retain appropriate direct reports; conduct annual reviews and promotions.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and athletes are welcome and treated with respect.
