Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area or an equivalent combination of education and experience in research administration.
• Level II: two years of sponsored program administration; Level III: three years of sponsorship experience.
• Knowledge of federal and sponsor policies governing grants and contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support faculty and staff in preparing proposals to federal, state, corporate, and other funding agencies.
• Review proposals for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Ensure policies such as F&A, Cost Sharing, PI Status, and Effort are followed.
• Review and analyze proposed budgets for compliance and indirect cost rates.
• Maintain knowledge of electronic research administration systems to ensure timely submissions.
• Act as liaison between PI, campus administrators, agency officials, and offices to resolve issues.
