Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a Procurement Agent III on Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) to analyze requisitions and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The role negotiates terms with vendors, consolidates purchases for economies of scale, and supports bid processes to obtain competitive outcomes.

The incumbent will manage contract implementation, advise UF departments, and participate in vendor reviews and product/service cost analysis to improve procurement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Analyzes requisitions/contracts for compliance with BOG, UF and Foundation regulations, policies and statutes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and edits vendor contracts and negotiates terms with vendors.
• Identifies acquisition methods (solicitation, sole source or other) and develops specifications for ITBs, RFPs and ITNs.
• Solicits and evaluates vendor responses and negotiates contract changes when needed.
• Maintains high level of customer service with UF departments regarding requirements, prices and bids.
