Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction LLC in Nashville, TN, seeks a Splicing Manager to supervise teams in fiber optic and coaxial plant installation, splicing, and enclosure work. You’ll ensure accuracy, troubleshoot, and manage data analysis to keep projects on track.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related experience, previous supervisory experience, and proficiency with reading fiber matrices and splicing equipment. Authorized to work in the United States.

• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees and supervisors of an assigned area, department, or project(s).
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Develop processes to ensure completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project(s).
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project(s).
• Potential to work 3rd shift as needed

Our Splicing Manager shall supervise employees in the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic and coaxial cable, splice enclosures and the functionality of each; ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; ability to interpret and analyze data; and, ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
