Ervin Cable Construction, LLC seeks a Splicing Manager to supervise the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. The role requires knowledge of network structure, fiber/coax cabling, splice enclosures, and the ability to read data and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities include leading a team, reviewing tasks, improving processes, and coordinating with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong project management skills including planning and coordinating tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass pre-employment checks.

Our Splicing Manager shall supervise employees in the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic and coaxial cable, splice enclosures and the functionality of each; ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; ability to interpret and analyze data; and, ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.

• Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project.
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project.

What You’ll Need

• Associates Degree in a related field or 3 years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
