Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Medina, OH is seeking a Splicing Manager to supervise the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. The role requires strong knowledge of telecommunications network structures and the ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment.

You will lead a team, review tasks for accuracy, and develop processes to ensure timely completion, with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience.
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

Our Splicing Manager shall supervise employees in the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic and coaxial cable, splice enclosures and the functionality of each; ability to use TDR/OTDR and fusion splicing equipment; ability to read fiber matrices; ability to interpret and analyze data; and, ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.

This position requires 25% travel.
