Walworth Cellars is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations, guide team performance, and provide a curated shopping experience for guests. This hands-on leadership role supports the Store Manager and steps in as Manager-on-Duty as needed.

The store emphasizes wine, spirits, and specialty beverages with knowledgeable staff, strong safety protocols, and a commitment to service. This role requires 21+ and flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail or hospitality leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Passion for customer service and beverages.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21+ with a valid ID.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations including staffing, inventory, merchandising, and scheduling.
• Lead and mentor team members for a welcoming in-store experience.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and act as product expert.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Manage point-of-sale operations, including transactions and refunds.
• Assist in ordering and receiving inventory and seasonal trends.
• Act as Manager-on-Duty in the Store Manager's absence.
• Monitor profitability by managing labor, shrink, and margins.
• Enforce safety and compliance, including alcohol sales procedures.
