Job summary

Uni-Form Components Corp is hiring a Spin Operator Trainee in Houston to learn safely and accurately set up and operate metal spinning equipment under direct supervision. The role progresses from assisted work to independent operation with the goal of becoming a fully qualified Spin Operator.

You will follow SOPs, read job travelers and prints, install setups, center heads, and assist with welding and inspections while maintaining a clean, safe work area and documenting training progress.

Qualifications

• Ability to read standard tape measure.
• Ability to read circumferential strap tape measure.
• Current SMAW welding qualification per company procedures/WPS.
• Read and interpret work orders and basic prints; willingness to learn.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures, PPE and lockout/tagout practices.
• Participate in hands-on training with Spin Operator Trainer.
• Learn and follow SOPs for each training step.
• Read and interpret job travelers, work orders, and prints.
• Select and install setups on the spin machine.
• Weld/tack weld heads per WPS when required.
• Spin heads as training progresses and assist with inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist production as needed.
