Job summary

Hialeah Metal Spinning, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Senior CNC Metal Spinning Setup & Process Technician to lead setup, operation and optimization of CNC/PNC spinning processes. You will work with tooling, programs, drawings, inspection requirements, and production teams to deliver safe, repeatable, high-quality parts.

The role emphasizes knowledge transfer, developing repeatable processes, and mentoring next-generation HMS operators, with focus on safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in metal spinning.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC/PNC forming or turning equipment.
• Ability to read complex mechanical drawings and apply GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and first-piece inspection.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC/PNC metal-spinning machines for prototype and production work.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD information, specifications, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
• Select and install spinning tooling, rollers, mandrels, tailstock/support components, and fixtures.
• Develop, prove out, document, and optimize spinning sequences and machine parameters.
• Evaluate material behavior during forming and adjust to improve dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
• Troubleshoot forming issues such as wrinkling, thinning, cracking, and process instability.
• Verify conformance with inspection equipment and documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance, and Production to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate production and process information in HMS systems and work instructions.
• Support preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of spinning equipment.
• Train and mentor operators and apprentices in safe setup, operation, inspection, and discipline.
