Acme Metal Spinning Inc., based in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a skilled Metal Spinner to join our team on site. The role focuses on forming metal blanks into precise components, reading drawings, and maintaining quality through inspection and safe work practices.

You will operate spinning lathes, set up tooling, and collaborate with the team to meet production targets while upholding workmanship standards. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior metal spinning experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in metal spinning or related manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC metal spinning lathes to form metal blanks into finished components.
• Set up tooling, mandrels, and fixtures for each job.
• Read blueprints and work orders to meet specifications.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and other tools for dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on spinning equipment and keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality goals.
