Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and healthcare administration.
• Familiarity with speech therapy billing and insurance.
• Experience with scheduling in a healthcare or therapy setting.
• Proficiency with SimplePractice for scheduling and billing.
• Proficiency with Google Drive/Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage therapist schedules and coordinate appointments.
• Schedule evaluations and ongoing therapy appointments.
• Communicate with families regarding scheduling, cancellations, waitlists and appointments.
• Submit and follow up on speech therapy claims.
• Verify insurance benefits and assist with authorizations.
• Review billing and insurance information for accuracy.
• Follow up on outstanding claims and unpaid balances.
• Assist with patient accounts and billing questions.
• Maintain accurate client information and documentation.
• Work within SimplePractice for scheduling, billing, documentation, and client management.
• Organize and maintain files and information through Google Drive/Google Workspace.
• Communicate with therapists regarding schedules, authorizations, and billing needs.
• Help keep our office systems running smoothly and efficiently.
