The ideal candidate holds a Master's in SLP from an ASHA program, Florida license or eligibility, CCC from ASHA, and 2+ years of skilled nursing or rehab experience; salary is $57 per hour on a PRN basis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in Florida.
• CCC from ASHA, or currently in certification process.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred in skilled nursing or rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop customized treatment plans for communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Train residents in adaptive communication devices and assistive techniques.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to tailor therapy plans to each resident.
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate outcomes to the care team.
• Supervise support staff and provide staff training on speech therapy practices.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment and identify needs.
• Provide compassionate guidance and clear communication to residents and families.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program

Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Florida

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or currently in the certification process

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop customized treatment plans targeting communication, cognition, dysphagia, and related areas.
• Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive communication devices.
• Partner with the interdisciplinary team to develop therapy plans based on each resident’s individual needs.
• Maintain thorough documentation, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate outcomes with the care team.
• Supervise support personnel and provide training to facility staff on speech therapy practices.
• Ensure proper maintenance and use of therapy equipment and identify equipment needs or repairs.
• Provide compassionate guidance and clear communication to residents and their families.
