Job summary

Charming Lakes Rehabilitation in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to help residents regain communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities in a compassionate, team-oriented setting.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document progress, and educate staff while supporting resident independence.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Active Florida SLP license (or eligibility to obtain).
CCC from ASHA (or in progress).

Responsibilities

Evaluate & Treat: Assess and develop plans for speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia.
Implement Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapy tailored to residents.
Communication Support: Train residents on adaptive communication devices and strategies.
Collaborate: Work with the interdisciplinary team for resident-centered care.
Track Progress: Document outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
Educate & Lead: Guide staff and supervise support personnel as appropriate.
Equipment Management: Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment.
Family Engagement: Communicate with residents and families to provide support.
