Job summary

mbhealthcare is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team in New Jersey. The role requires collaboration with the Rehab Department, completing evaluations and documentation, and delivering therapy per treatment plans to improve patient communication and swallowing.

You will manage workflow and documentation within electronic records while aligning with PDPM and billing considerations.

Qualifications

• New Jersey SLP License is required.
• Experience in long term care (Skilled Nursing Facility) preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities and ability levels.
• Creative problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapy teams and Rehab Department.
• Complete evaluations and documentation.

• Deliver speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions.
• Treat dysphagia and other speech-language needs to improve communication.

Local Skilled Nursing Facility Now seeking

Speech Therapist/SLP

Responsibilities/duties:

• Speech therapist (SLP) will work collaboratively with the therapy teams and Rehab Department
• Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation
• Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments
• Provide speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions
• Offer treatments that help improve patient’s speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate
• Independently manage workflow which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual and group treatments and notes in the electronic records system
• Familiar with PDPM
• Align therapy treatments and plans with understanding of Medicaid and Medicare billing

Qualifications:

• New Jersey SLP License
• Background/experience in long term care (specifically a Skilled Nursing Facility)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and ability levels
• Creative problem solving skills
