Job summary

Barclays Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our Rehabilitation/Therapy team in New Jersey. The role focuses on evaluations, treatment planning, and delivery of speech therapy services in a skilled nursing setting, with attention to dysphagia and communication needs.

Responsibilities

Description

Local Skilled Nursing Facility Now seeking

Speech Therapist/SLP

Responsibilities/duties:

• Speech therapist (SLP) will work collaboratively with the therapy teams and Rehab Department


• Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation


• Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments


• Provide speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions


• Offer treatments that help improve patient’s speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate


• Independently manage workflow which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual and group treatments and notes in the electronic records system


• Familiar with PDPM


• Align therapy treatments and plans with understanding of Medicaid and Medicare billing

Qualifications:

• New Jersey SLP License


• Background/experience in long term care (specifically a Skilled Nursing Facility)


• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and ability levels


• Creative problem solving skills
