Job summary

Pine Acres Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) PRN to join our Rehabilitation/Therapy team in a skilled nursing facility. You will work collaboratively with therapy staff, complete evaluations, and implement treatment plans to improve patients' speech and communication abilities.

Starting pay is $40 per hour with flexible shifts. NJ license is required; prior SNF experience and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• New Jersey SLP License is required.
• Background/experience in long term care (Skilled Nursing Facility) is preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities and levels of ability.
• Creative problem solving skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapy teams and Rehab Department.
• Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation.
• Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments.
• Provide speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions.
• Improve patient speech, dysphagia, and overall communication abilities.
• Independently manage workflow including treatment documentation and notes in EHR.
• Familiar with PDPM.
• Align therapy treatments with Medicaid/Medicare billing understanding.

Local Skilled Nursing Facility Now seeking

Speech Therapist/SLP PRN

Responsibilities/duties:

• Speech therapist (SLP) will work collaboratively with the therapy teams and Rehab Department
• Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation
• Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments
• Provide speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions
• Offer treatments that help improve patient’s speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate
• Independently manage workflow which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual and group treatments and notes in the electronic records system
• Familiar with PDPM
• Align therapy treatments and plans with understanding of Medicaid and Medicare billing
