Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Hospital Sisters Health System Rehabilitation Hospital in Wisconsin is seeking a PRN speech-language pathologist to join a brand-new IRF opening in 2026.

You will evaluate and treat patients, develop care plans, coordinate discharge, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • ASHA CCC or CFY eligibility preferred.
  • Licensed or eligible for Wisconsin licensure.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform speech-language pathology evaluations and treatments per policy.
  • Establish and monitor a plan of care.
  • Provide care in accordance with orders and plan of care.
  • Assess treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed to meet goals.
  • Plan for discharge and coordinate with patient, family, and care team.

Join us in opening HSHS Rehabilitation Hospital, a brand-new 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) opening its doors in 2026.

How You'll Contribute

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and provides speech and language therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.



  • Performs patient assessment.

  • Establish a plan of care.

  • Provides care in accordance with physician's orders and established plan of care.

  • Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals.

  • Plans for patient discharge. Communicates with patients, family, caregivers, significant other, and members of the healthcare team to achieve rehabilitation goals and promote maximum benefits of care.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:



  • A Bachelor's and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or similarly titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

  • Possess or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY).

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in state.

  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card.
