Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation in Ada, OK is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team at Mercy Hospital Ada. You will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive communication disorders, developing plans of care and collaborating with families.

As an SLP, you will deliver evidence-based therapy, document progress, participate in discharge planning, and may supervise clinical fellows and students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with current state license.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized care plans and document progress.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families.
• Supervise clinical fellows, students, and support personnel as applicable.
• Assist with discharge planning.

Mercy Hospital Ada, Oklahoma, is a 159-bed, acute-care facility serving Pontotoc County and the surrounding areas in south-central Oklahoma. Our hospital provides vital health care services to the Ada and surrounding communities

How you'll contribute

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. The SLP performs comprehensive assessments, develops individualized plans of care, and implements evidence-based interventions in collaboration with patients and their families. Ongoing progress is documented and communicated, with treatment plans adjusted as needed. The SLP also provides education and counseling to support patient outcomes, assists with discharge planning, and supervises clinical fellows, students, and support personnel in accordance with professional standards.
