Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN opportunities in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU).

The ARU is a 30-bed inpatient rehab center designed to support patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other serious conditions. You will assess, treat, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to promote optimal recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Experience in acute or rehab setting is preferred.
• Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute
