Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility. The role offers mentorship, career growth, weekly paychecks, and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.

You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes to support residents’ rehabilitation goals. Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited SLP program and current New York State SLP license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program is required.
• Current New York State SLP license is required.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform Speech Therapy evaluations and examinations to diagnose residents and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Record information on evaluations, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.
• Observe and assess progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
• Maintain cooperative relationships within the healthcare team and contribute to team efforts.

Roles and expectations of a great therapist include:

• Administer Speech Therapy evaluations & examinations to diagnose residents & develop treatment plans.
