Adoration Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for Home Health in Williamsburg, VA. This PRN role focuses on delivering patient-centered therapy in home settings, evaluating speech and language needs, and guiding families and caregivers.

You'll work collaboratively with a supportive team, provide 1:1 care, and enjoy flexible scheduling with opportunities for professional growth within Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice in the state.
• BLS or CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine therapy requirements.
• Provide 1:1 therapy to improve speech, voice, and language.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, when needed.
• Educate healthcare team and caregivers to support progress outside therapy sessions.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per Agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
