Job summary

Adoration Health, a BrightSpring Health Services affiliate, seeks a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to serve Fredericksburg, VA. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling and 1:1 therapy in patients' homes, with team support and professional autonomy.

You will assess and treat speech and language disorders, document progress, and educate families while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package and company commitment to work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state of practice.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 home-based speech and language therapy to patients.
• Assess speech and language disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and carryover.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per Agency policy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to support ongoing progress.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services


• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices


• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability


• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions


• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program


• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing


• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
