Job summary

Adoration Health in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist for home health services. You will provide 1:1 patient-centered care to individuals in their homes, with flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.

The role emphasizes independent work with team support, ongoing patient progress documentation, and opportunities for professional growth within a growing home health company.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech/language needs and determine therapy continuation.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice.
• Teach alternative communication methods such as sign language.
• Educate healthcare team, patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes, and submit visit documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
