Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist for our Colonial Heights, VA area. You will provide patient-centered SLP services in home health, delivering 1:1 therapy and collaborating with a supportive care team.

Responsibilities include evaluating speech-language disorders, teaching vocal techniques, and guiding caregivers on exercises. A Master’s degree and VA licensure are required, with a flexible PRN schedule and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted license as an SLP in the practicing state (VA).
• BLS or CPR certification per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech or language disorders in home health settings.
• Provide 1:1 therapy and tailor plans to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home exercises.
• Document progress and maintain accurate visit notes per agency policy.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to support continued progress outside direct sessions.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient’s response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations

USD $50.00 - $100.00 / Hour
