Adoration Home Health in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a PRN/home health role. You will deliver 1:1 care, assess speech and language needs, and develop individualized therapy plans in the patient’s home.

The position offers flexible scheduling, compensation paid per visit, and a collaborative team environment. Requires Master’s degree, active SLP license, and BLS/CPR certification, with opportunity for growth.

Qualificações

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted State license as an SLP.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as per state requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine if continued therapy is required.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Instruct in alternative communication methods, such as sign language, when appropriate.
• Guide healthcare team and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and complete visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
