Job summary

Adoration Health in Ashland, AL is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN opportunities. You will deliver 1:1 patient-centered therapy in home settings across Clay, Cleburne, Randolph and Tallapoosa counties, focusing on speech and language goals, communication strategies, and caregiver education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted state license to practice Speech Language Pathology.
• BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 home health therapy to evaluate and treat speech/language issues.
• Teach音 patients to improve speech sounds and voice production.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy exercises and home programs.
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathology by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
