Job summary

Adoration Health in Centre, AL seeks a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join Adoration Home Health on a PRN basis. The SLP will deliver patient-centered home health therapy, evaluating speech and language needs and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.

You will collaborate with a caring team to support patients and families, ensuring documentation compliance and progress toward goals in a home health setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active, unrestricted SLP license in the practicing state.
• BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Provide 1:1 therapy, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to integrate therapy into overall care.
• Document visits and ensure compliance with agency policies.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
