Adoration Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our home health team in Centre, AL. The SLP will provide patient-centered care, assess speech and language needs, and plan individualized treatment in a home health setting.

This PRN opportunity emphasizes one-on-one patient interaction with flexible scheduling, support from a team, and opportunities for growth within a growing home health company.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language difficulties and determine therapy needs.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) as needed.
• Educate and guide healthcare team, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
