Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our Fayette, AL team, delivering patient-centered 1:1 care in the home health setting.

You will evaluate speech and language needs, provide therapy, and collaborate with caregivers to support ongoing progress while enjoying flexible, PRN scheduling and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.
