Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our Ashland, AL team. You will provide patient-centered, 1:1 therapy in home settings, with flexible PRN scheduling and strong team support.

Responsibilities include evaluating speech and language needs, teaching communication strategies, and documenting progress according to agency policy. A Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• At least 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted state license to practice as an SLP
• Current BLS or CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine therapy
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) to patients with limited speech
• Educate and guide healthcare team members and caregivers in therapeutic exercises to support progress
• Document progress and submit visit notes per agency policy

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
