Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Tampa, FL team. You will assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities and develop targeted treatment plans for patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You will educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with nurses and therapists to coordinate care. A Florida license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, eligible for ASHA or state credentialing.
• Experience in acute or rehab settings preferred.
• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license and CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities for patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about therapy goals and progress.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for care coordination.

What we're looking for

• Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
• Experience working in acute or rehab setting
• Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Florida
• Current CPR certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
