Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in acute or rehab patients. This PRN role supports a multidisciplinary team dedicated to quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or ASHA certification requirements.
  • Experience working in acute or rehab setting.
  • Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Florida.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
