Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dallas Central, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist for full-time days. You will evaluate and treat swallowing, speech-language needs, and document assessments, while coordinating a care plan with patients and families.

The role includes discharging planning, patient education, and supervising clinical fellows and students to deliver quality therapy services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• TX State licensure in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology required.
• BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.

How You'll Contribute

• Evaluate and treat patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs.
• Perform and document initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Design and implement a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervise activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

What We're Looking For

Applicants must hold a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Additional requirements include:

• Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with TX Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
