Job summary

Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide accredited SLP services in a high-acuity hospital setting with LTACH/SNF support at the same location. The role includes FEES services in-house, with training available to expand clinical skills.

You’ll assess and treat patients, document progress, and work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited)
• Current and unrestricted SLP license in the state
• CCC- or Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP/ASHA) requirements
• CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions and educate patients/families on goals and techniques
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress per professional standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

*Our team provides Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) services in-house. Training and competency development are available for candidates eager to expand their clinical skills.

How you'll contribute

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities and developing individualized treatment plans to address their needs. This role involves implementing therapeutic interventions, educating patients and families on therapy goals and techniques, and accurately documenting evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. The SLP collaborates closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Prior experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting is preferred.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have

• Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology which is accredited by Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
• Current and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered
• Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA
• CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS)

Hourly range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
