Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The role includes screening and evaluating residents and developing an appropriate plan of care, plus providing direct treatment under an established plan.

Requirements: Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California license to practice, and at least one year of clinical experience; Certification in Clinical Competency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
