Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time itinerant, school-based position in Bellevue, WA. The role supports students from preschool through 12th grade across general and special education settings.

The SLP will screen and evaluate, set IEP goals, collaborate with educators and families, and ensure services meet developmental and communication needs in various school settings. ASAP start for approximately 8 weeks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• ESA certificate in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for immediate issuance preferred.
• Experience working with students with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities.
• Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills required.
• Experience in a multicultural environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate students; establish caseload and provide speech-language therapy including classroom-based services.
• Develop IEP goals and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, evaluation teams and school staff to support students across settings.
• Plan services and activities aligned to students’ developmental levels and communication needs.
• Adhere to school policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements.

Job Description:

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full Time | Bellevue, WA

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, short-term assignment in Bellevue, Washington. This itinerant role supports students with communication disorders from preschool through 12th grade in general and special education settings. Job Highlights:

• Location: Bellevue, WA
• Position: Itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• Setting: In-person, school-based; preschool through 12th grade
• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Approximately 8 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Screen and evaluate students with communication needs, establish a caseload, and provide speech-language therapy, including classroom-based services.
• Develop appropriate IEP goals and objectives and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, evaluation teams, and other school staff to support students across settings.
• Plan services and activities suited to students’ developmental levels and functional communication needs.
• Follow applicable school policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

• Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility for immediate issuance.
• Experience working with students with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities.

• Experience working in a multicultural environment preferred.
