Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services, Inc. seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to support K–12 students in the San Jose area. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders within the school setting, collaborating with teachers and therapists to help students succeed in the classroom.

The role emphasizes IEP development, direct therapy, and use of AAC and assistive technology, with opportunities for growth, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, PTO, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• SLP Services Credential through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is required.
• Experience or interest in pediatric/school-based populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) for students with a range of communication needs.
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to speech, language, social communication, and pragmatics.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with guidelines.
• Support use of AAC and assistive technology as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) for students with a range of communication needs
