Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services Inc is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K–12 students in the Palo Alto/South Bay area. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language needs, with collaboration across teachers, families, and school staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and an active CA SLP license (or eligibility) and is passionate about pediatric education within a collaborative clinical team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Active California SLP license or eligibility
• Experience or interest in pediatric/school-based populations

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) for students with a range of communication needs
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to speech, language, social communication, and pragmatics
• Collaborate with teachers, OTs, psychologists, and school staff to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school guidelines
• Support use of AAC and assistive technology as needed
