Job summary

Alameda Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care within the therapy department in our skilled nursing facility setting.

You will evaluate and treat patients, document in medical records, supervise Clinical Fellows and other SLPs, and collaborate with families, physicians and the rehab team to support patient progress and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment for medically based disorders.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
• Evaluates and treats patients; communicates with families and health team; documents services.
• Writes complete documentation meeting regulatory and billing requirements.
• Supervises Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and discharge planners.
