Job summary

Granite Hills Healthcare & Wellness Centre in California is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care and lead therapy programs. You will assess, treat, and document outcomes while coordinating with families, physicians and the rehab team.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, CA licensure or eligibility, and 2–3 years of rehab experience in a skilled nursing setting. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SLP evaluation and treatment for medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of staff and patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within each patient’s limitations; evaluates and treats patients and communicates with families, physicians and the health team.
• Documents services in the medical records and ensures documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations.
• Supervises Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and related activities.
• Maintains professional development and contributes to rehab team conferences and patient care meetings.
• Educates families and staff on follow-through programs and ongoing therapy plans.
