Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist in Ohio to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain compliant documentation. You will participate in interdisciplinary rounds, educate staff, and support quality assurance initiatives within the rehabilitation program.

The role requires state licensure as an SLP, continuing education, and the ability to supervise CFY or students as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state
• Continued education requirements per state practice
• Maintain license in good standing with state board
• CPR certification if required by licensure
• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve function
• Supervise CFY and students as applicable
• Communicate progress and discharge plans to families and physicians
• Complete timely documentation per facility and third-party payer requirements
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safety
• Facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment when appropriate
