Job summary

PACS Group seeks a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain documentation in medical records. The role includes supervising CFY Speech Clinical Fellows or students and providing staff training to ensure high standards of care.

Must hold a California Speech-Language Pathology license; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred. Strong clinical documentation and ability to collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Master’s/Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
• Strong documentation and data entry skills.
• Experience supervising CFY or students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with physicians and families.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff as needed.
• Complete timely documentation per facility and payer requirements.
