The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Evaluates patients referred to speech therapy by completing initial profile within time standards per department protocol.
Applies appropriate diagnostic and prognostic tests including but not limited to dysphagia, aphasia, language, voice, speech, and cognitive deficits.
Standardized testing will include special tests to determine level of disability and track outcomes over the patient care experience.
Performs a variety of therapeutic interventions including but not limited to swallowing, voice, speech-language, and cognitive skills.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Master’s degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence
Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association
Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
